25JunWhew.

So I finally upgraded my Wordpress installation from what, like 2.1?? (This is 2.5 now.) I feel so behind the times. I was actually pretty impressed with how easy it was, but I totally would not have done it unless I got the spam injects that I was getting. Apparently there were a lot of hidden spam about Viagra and Levitra injected into my main template file. Suck. So hopefully this will stick and I won’t have to worry about ruining my SEO because Google sees my page as a spam site.

However my picture gallery isn’t working properly; I’ll work on that stuff tomorrow sometime I guess.

Peas!

25JunFinally.

I’ve finally hit my “big goal”, 200lbs. Considering that at one point I was at about 240, that’s a big deal. What’s perhaps even cooler is that this is considering the muscle I’ve put on, meaning that the 40 lbs. that I lost was all fat. I honestly never saw myself doing this, but at the same time I don’t see a reason why I shouldn’t continue on.

Trevor (my trainer) gave me a meal guide today as to what meals to eat and what combinations of food facilitate good muscle growth while continuing fat burn. It was pretty interesting because it’s more than I’m eating right now so on my next trip to the grocery store I have some new things to buy and try. Unfortunately for me, none of it is a frozen TV dinner. (Damn!) So I’ll have to start cooking/preparing lunches at home so that I can take it to work and then put it in the fridge. Is it worth it? I’d say so– I think I’ll save more money anyway preparing food at home than buying a TV dinner for $4/each.

Now my final goal is to hit 190 or 180 lbs, with all my fat loss. So 190/180 of muscle, I can deal with. Will I look like a body builder? Hardly. I don’t think my body is built like that. But finally I’ll feel good about myself.

I’m out.

18JunResolved. One of the best documentaries in years.

I watched a documentary yesterdayUn giocatore di casino online ha bisogno di soltanto di battere il distributore in questo gioco e non gareggia contro gli altri giocatori alla tavola. on HBO about CX Debate, the type of debate that I used to do. It blew my mind. This trailer gives an idea of what CX is, but doesn’t delve nearly deep enough to the cultural and economic implications of the debate format and what its value is in America today. If you get a chance, watch it. I don’t know if it’s just because I’m a former CXer that I found it deeply intriguing or if it really is just gripping filmmaking, but I’d recommend everyone give it a shot.

15JunQuote of the Day

So Amy and I were talking about how low one would go for their art. And we were talking about acting and Amy asks one of the awesomest questions I’ve heard in recent memory, hence the quote of the day belongs to her.

“Would you ever do a Valtrex/Viagra commercial?”

The answer? You guys know me well enough. You can decide.

12Jun3G iPhone Video Conferencing

Those of you who complained that the iPhone can now stop. Apple is going to be releasing a brand new accessory to help with said issue.

Enjoy.

10JunI’m f**king Obama.

Not me. But … ah screw it.

Just watch the video. Please reference the Sarah Silverman video I posted a while back if you’re confused.

09JunESCAPE FROM NEW YORK.

Okay fine, that’s a bit dramatic, but I just wanted to use the title of that movie considering I was in New York this weekend. And also because well, I spent the entire weekend in New York and I never really posted anything on here about it.

So basically, I got up early Friday morning (5:30 am is early for me my friends) and got to the airport, where I parked the car in shuttle parking. $4/day? Not bad at all, I might add. The flights from OKC-Dallas-LaGuardia were boring and asinine. Have I expressed how much I dislike domestic flights in the US? It’s like they squeeze the seats together so that unless you’re 12 years old or younger there’s no way you can be comfortable. Food and drinks? Sure no problem! If you BUY their sandwich for $6. Ridiculous. So pathetic also that when I was flying domestic in India (INDIA, cough cough) the service felt like that of a 5 star hotel compared to American, Delta, etc. They bring out fresh towels when you get on, a drink as you settle in, some kind of snacks — and no we’re not talking peanuts — during the flight, and full service video and music all throughout. And this is economy/coach class we’re talking about.

/*– end tirade –*/

I get to New York and stay at my cousin’s house and….

man…

I just realized this post is gonna be long if I do all the details. So let’s do this, I’m going to summarize. Ready?

  • Friday
    • Got to Aleena and Aaron’s house. Stayed there. Nisha came over, hung out. I fell off the patio, landed on my head. Negligible damage to Vinoj
  • Saturday
    • Left for wedding in Somerset, NJ at 8:30am. Drove my uncle’s car there. Arrived at 9:59am.
    • Wedding begins at 11 am, and continues to dull my brain for the next few hours. Check messages re: my status during the wedding at Twitter.com
    • Leave wedding, go to Elmont, NY, in Queens. Same place where the Triple Crown Horse Races are going on. Big problem when leaving at 6:30pm— travel 1 mile in 2 hours of being stuck in traffic
    • Get to Gena, Millie, and Cheryl’s house at 9:45pm. Hang out for a bit. Leave at 11pm
    • Back to Aleena and Aaron’s house at 11:30pm
  • Sunday
    • Get up at 6, get ready, go to airport.
    • Leave NY at 10:30 am.
    • Arrive in Oklahoma sometime around 4pm

There. Done and done.

09JunA fellow Malayalee wins Miss India 2008

And, because I take full credit for all her charms, I thought her answer was what was definitely put her over the top over the other contestants. First, our contestant– Ms. Parvathy Omanakuttan.
Parvathy Omanakuttan

Done gazing? Great.

Now the question that was asked of her:
“The rate of divorce in India is on a rise. Is Western influence the cause of this or something else?”

Her answer:
“Divorces are not a result of Western influence. At the end of the day, it is we who decide our worth. Marriage is not when one completes the other but is when both share their completeness.”

Oh SNAP!

*Edit: My cousin Nisha pointed out that while the girl is attractive, she’s not drop dead gorgeous. But let’s be fair— how many drop dead gorgeous women are out there who are dumb as rocks? A lot. I’d rather a girl who’s an intellectual but still pretty enough to go, “DEEYAMN. She likes ME??”

05JunQuote of the Day

I have to actually put the whole conversation in here, first check out the New York Times elections graphic.

Vinoj: this graphic is AMAZING

Jason: ?

Vinoj Zacharia: nytimes

Jason: oh yeah-I love stuff like that

Vinoj Zacharia: i wish i could select different options. men, under 30, some college

Jason: me, too

Vinoj Zacharia: but even still, this is impressive.

Jason: But the college column is pretty consistent, no surpriing. The black vote is also astounding

Vinoj Zacharia:
oh totally. i’m really worried– i’m an obama supporter, and even WITH the option of hillary on the ticket with him i dont see it changing the views of the WV voter types

Jason:
My wife and I were talking about this last night.

Vinoj Zacharia:
have you seen this?

Jason:
We decided that the best thing for the country would be this in November:

Jason
Obama/Clinton vs. McCain/Rice

Vinoj Zacharia
WOW
<-- mind officially blown

Jason
What do the bigots do then?

HAHAHAHA. Gotta love it.
