For those who haven’t read Proof, try reading it. The play won a Pulitzer, and it’s wonderful. Once you have, go rent the movie. It’s got Gwyneth Paltrow, Anthony Hopkins, and Jake Gyllenhaal. GP is absolutely amazing as Kate. STUNNING. As an actor, I think there are a alot of things that an actor sees in his/her head when reading a script. Paltrow so MUCH with the dialogue that she’s given that it’s phenomenal. An entire character is fleshed out through ticks,jerks, glances, and breaths.
Wonderful movie.
Well howdy.. been a long time. Aparna left on Saturday, which was kind of a downer. But things are back up to speed I think, partially because I have a new toy… I’ve been using a program called FlyAKiteOSX to basically make my computer look like a Mac.
GASP!!! A MAC?!!
I came to realize that I’m able to use a Windows XP PC with all its functionality and compatibility and have the only thing that I like about the Mac– the GUI. (Graphical User Interface) So it’s like eating your cake and having it too. No, I didn’t write that wrong. Most people say it incorrectly, that’s all. It really is supposed to be eating, then having.
And I’m out.
Well, Aparna’s in town (been here since last Thursday), and I’ve basically been taking her all around town showing her the beauties and majesties of this great town of Norman, Oklahoma.
From our non-existent monuments to our shady college sports bars, it’s a wonderful experience, I can imagine. No doubt she better be having lots of fun.
Well even if it’s not fun at least she’s being entertained by Casper over here. The two of them seem to have fallen in love, and it’s really odd for him to like anyone, honestly.
And I’m out.
I’ll probably create an album of my trip to Houston to see Arshy and Nitu and another one of Apsi’s trip to Oklahoma sometime soon. But if I get lazy maybe I’ll put it in one of the photo album websites out there.
