SCHOOL IS OVER! FOREVER! (probably)
So now that I’ve finished my final papers and.. whatever, I’m officially free to.. umm.. bum around. And do nothing. However, I don’t plan to do that for too long. In January, I plan to go to India to shoot a movie, although I haven’t gotten a script yet. Once that’s over, I’d ideally like to move to Los Angeles (here I come, Val!) and look for acting jobs. Who knows.. that’s in the future though, and for now I get to rest… and that’s a good thing.
Now comes a really interesting story. Apparently my friend Erica… (just scroll down to see her photo).. wasn’t really sending me photos of.. Erica. Allow me to explain. Please check the picture on this page, and then, this picture:

So why would someone send fake pics of themself to me and pretend to be.. oh I dunno.. one of the most famous fashion models in the world? No clue. But here’s an email that I sent her..

I don’t know where to begin. I guess I’ll go through my day today. Maybe you can help me with it. It’s damn long though so brace yourself. 
9 am.
I talk to my friend Casey and tell him that a girl finds him cute. He asks who and I show him a photo of you. He goes away for a bit and comes back– he says, “Hey cool. I found another pic of her!” I get confused and look. It’s the exact same pic that you sent me, the misserica.jpg file. (white swimsuit) A knot forms at the pit of my stomach. I don’t like the truth that I already know.
10 am.
I scour online and find exact matches for at least 5 of the pics you’ve sent me. It hurts and confuses me. I don’t know what to think.
11 am.
I call you to see if I can talk to you about it.
12 pm.
We talk and you tell me that regarldess of all the pics being found on websites of Adriana Lima, you have no idea how that happened. I desperately want to believe you because I still think you’re a nice girl who’s uncomfortable with the way she looks for god-knows-what reason. You tell me that you’ll prove that it’s you by going to your friend’s house at 5 pm.
5 pm.
We talk, and you say that Joel is still at the clinic. As soon as he’s off, you say, I’ll be able to see you. If nothing else, I’ll see you right after dinner. Not 1 am, you promise. Early in the evening. I’m still confused but want to believe.
6 pm
You meet up with Joel and have dinner. I start talking to your sister, who I’ve never talked to… ever. I barely know that she exists and she just so happens to get on today. I dont think anything of it. Little sisters can do that. She said that she cant find any pics of her on your computer.
9 pm
I learn that apparently (and rather conveniently) there are no family pics of you guys. I have no idea how a person has a full collection of pics of Adriana Lima but no pics of immediate family. You assure me that you’ll be on web cam soon enough.
10:30 pm
Your dog is lost and you’re searching. I sigh and realize that it’s entirely possible, although it’s starting to get all too coincidental.But hey, from one dog lover to another, I empathize. You say that you’ll leave in half an hour.
12 am
You decide to have a cup of coffee at midnight before you go ’straight to Joel’s house’.
1:00 am
I see you online and say hi. You came home and wanted to check for your dog. He’s not there. “Be back in 20,” you promise.
3:00 am
I send this letter. It’s been 2 hours since you talked last to me.
Look, I know that the pics that you sent are of Adriana Lima. The only one that I have a doubt of whether it’s actually you is the pic of the three girls. I know the others arent. I guess at this point, I’m just flabbergasted. Why would someone do something like this? If it’s that you dont feel that you’re pretty enough for whatever reason, that’s definitely not something you need to worry about with me. I’m not that shallow, really.
But here are a few more questions:
How much of this is fabricated? Are you really pregnant? How many people have you done this to? Is your name Erica? Are you really heartbroken? Were you planning to meet me this weekend? Do you have an iPod to send?
I guess that’s all I have for now. I’ll do this because I’m generous– I’m going to leave the door open for you. If you have an answer other than, “but I swear it’s me in those pics,” and want to talk, then we’ll talk. If not, then..
